We all know that physical fitness and exercise are important parts of living happy and healthy lives, yet some of us still can't bring ourselves to partake in regular physical activity. If this is you, you may have thought "well maybe I'm just not cut out for exercise." But that couldn't be further from the truth - what is more likely is that specific form of exercise isn't cut out for you.
Just like not everyone enjoys the same subjects in school, not everyone will enjoy the same types of exercise. So if weight lifting, running, or yoga aren't forms of physical activity that you enjoy, the good news is that there are countless other forms of exercise for you to try out.
What matters is not just that you are physically active, but that you enjoy the ways in which you are physically active. If you don't enjoy what you are doing, you won't want to or be able to do it consistently. So if you go to the gym for a week and don't enjoy it, try running. If you don't enjoy running, try yoga, spin class, sports, etc.
Physical fitness is important for living a happy and healthy life. But if you don't enjoy the activities you are doing, you will have a hard time achieving physical fitness. Find a form of exercise you enjoy and stick with it.
